Sean Penn is a rock star. Or, rather, he was a rock star.

The "Tree of Life" actor channels The Cure's Robert Smith as Cheyenne, a bored, retired musician who hits the road to self-discovery and redemption in "This Must Be the Place," a last-minute addition to next month's Sundance Film Festival line-up.

Penn looks like he's going to be the main reason to see this film with his fascinatingly weird performance as a man out to confront the Nazi war criminal who persecuted his late father at Auschwitz. We're especially fond of the part where he speaks for all of the old-timers out there and tells a little kid that the song that the title of the movie is named after comes from the Talking Heads, not Arcade Fire.

And then, as if to drive the point home, the Talking Heads (or at least David Byrne and his latest back-up band) show up. Yeah, we're definitely interested in this one.
